Piping & Spooling

Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) piping systems for corrosive applications have been used widespread within industry for more than 50 years. FRP piping has superior corrosion resistance when compared to metallic piping and can be more economical than the stainless, titanium and high nickel alloy alternatives. That is why industries such as Pulp & Paper, Mining, Chemical Processing, Water, Power & FGD have successfully chosen to utilise FRP piping in their process systems.

Speedmark manufactures and installs custom FRP Piping systems for a wide range of configurations and conditions to include:

  • Sizes range from 25mm through 300mm.
  • Full range of flanges, reducers, elbows and fittings.
  • Filament wound (helical or hoop) or hand laid-up.
  • Pressure rating PN6/PN10/PN16:25mm-300mm.
  • Varying temperatures and operating conditions.
  • Above ground and below ground applications.
  • A variety of joint configurations. Thermoplastic and fluoroplastic lined piping and fittings lined with U-PVC, C-PVC, PP, PE, PVDF, FEP, MFA & PFA, overwrapped with FRP.
  • Anchors, hangers and supports.

All piping systems are designed and manufactured according to EN 13121 and SANS 1748.

Instead of individual components you may consider designing your pipe system with prefabricated sections. These are tailor-made in the factory and include elbows, T-Piece, reducers, flanges.

These spools offer the following practical advantages:

  • Easy to install and light weight
  • All spools can be tested in advance
  • Fast and faultless assembly
